Rooftop Rest Suite

'A genuine escape designed by renowned Scottish painter, Christine Clark. A secret haven set in an original sixteenth century building hidden behind the hotel’s modern exterior. A tranquil bedroom and spacious living area overlook the Royal Mile. Bespoke, distinguished design complements the original architecture in this one-of-a-kind room.'
Last year i recently worked on the re-design of the former Missoni Hotel now the G&V Hotel on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile.
The old design was very pink and i wanted to create a more tranquil, romantic, escape from city complimenting the Victorian features with a modern design.
I immediately i fell in love with the space as it would be an amazing studio, secluded from the rest of the building and lent its self to a narrative up a winding stone staircase.
I worked with Native Flok and Halliday Design, fantastic re-upholsters based in Edinburgh to create be-spoke furniture.
